Townsville City Council Upgrade

Townsville City Council’s public parks and sporting fields required replacement electrical enclosures that could withstand vandalism, harsh tropical weather and the ageing of existing infrastructure. B&R Enclosures was engaged to deliver a robust, compliant solution suitable for multiple site conditions.

The project required enclosures designed for metering, controls and protection in accordance with QLD metering and AS3000 standards. Each site required individual assessment to ensure the solution met specific operational and environmental needs, while also remaining secure in high-traffic public spaces.

B&R supplied the Monarch IP enclosure range, customised through B&R’s Value Add capabilities to meet all functional and compliance requirements. The flexibility of the Monarch IP system, combined with close collaboration with council staff and contractors, resulted in a tailored solution that significantly improved system reliability and reduced vulnerability to vandalism.

Additional project outcomes included customer training, integration of control ballasts, increased opportunities for cross-selling complementary products, and strengthened specification support for consultants.
