Anderson Point Expansion
Fortescue Metals Group expanded its iron ore production capacity to 155 million tonnes per year at Anderson Point in Port Hedland, WA. As part of this expansion, the marshalling and field communications panels required coordination between multiple vendors, resulting in high costs and long lead times.
B&R Enclosures supplied custom 316 stainless steel enclosures with sloping roofs and sunshades. These enclosures were fully wired, assembled, and tested before being delivered directly to the site, ready for installation.
By providing a complete system solution, B&R managed the entire process from design to delivery, offering regular updates and ensuring that production milestones were met. This approach significantly reduced lead times and costs, delivering a more efficient and cost-effective solution for Fortescue Metals.
