YourDC is a leading data centre provider based in Adelaide, South Australia, offering Tier 3 hosting solutions on a per-rack or per-room basis. Their newest facility, an 800-rack site at Edinburgh Parks, is currently the only Tier 3 data centre in Adelaide, delivering advanced security and energy-efficient cold aisle containment to maintain optimal server temperatures.
Having worked with YourDC on their Hawthorn facility, B&R Enclosures was engaged to supply specialised server cabinets for the Edinburgh Parks site. YourDC required a modular, fully customisable solution with superior airflow management, privacy segregation, and automated sensor doors, allowing pods to be replicated across multiple rooms while maintaining optimal security and cooling efficiency.
B&R designed and supplied Australian-made Ausrack Plus cabinets, with each pod containing 20 cabinets, each 45RU in height, bayed together with privacy panels. Mesh doors paired with cold aisle containment panels ensure efficient airflow while preventing cross-contamination between hot and cold zones. Clear roof panels and fully automated sliding row-end doors completed the system, delivering both functional and visual consistency across the data room.
The solution was engineered to meet YourDC’s stringent requirements and tight timeframe, with B&R overseeing design, manufacture, and installation. The completed first installation now serves as a display room to showcase the facility’s capabilities to clients, highlighting modular design, effective cooling, and robust security.
